ARMANI HOTEL DUBAI

The Italian fashion mogul Giorgio Armani has branched into the world of hospitality and launched his first hotel. Located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Armani Hotel Dubai opened its doors on April 27th, 2010 in Dubai's Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building. Its' cutting-edge design caters to jet-setters and world-travelers who are seeking the ultimate in luxury (each hotel guest is assigned a personal "lifestyle manager" upon arrival ). The 160-room hotel was entirely designed and planned by Armani, from furnishings and materials to the menus in the hotel's eight restaurants that range from Italian to Indian and Japanese.

The beautifully minimalistic approach in design includes Eramosa limestone floors, zebrawood paneling, and fabric covered walls.

"It has long been my dream to have a hotel in which I, myself, would like to stay and entertain family and friends, where the Armani aesthetic is combined with Italian-style warmth and hospitality"  said Giorgio Armani at the opening.

Beauty and simplicity is achieved by the application of exquisite materials and thoughtful lighting.

The "business center": as much a sculpture installation as a functional seating area.

Chic minimalism.

The guest rooms take on a mood of tranquility and relaxation through the use of calming, muted tones.

Armani's vision translated into a unique, contemporary shower.
