FASHION MEETS INTERIORS:
"WITH FLOWERS IN FULL BLOOM THIS SPRING, ALL WE SEE IS FLORAL"

Please do not be intimidated by too much floral!

Dress your bathing suit, your chair, and dress yourself with floral everywhere!!
(DKNY jacket to the left,  Dolce & Gabbana jacket to the right)

Dress your windows with these beautiful curtains. I want these now.(left)
Go ahead and dress yourself from top to bottom in floral.
(Ashish maxi dress and Peter Pilotto floral suit)

Do not let any gray day bring you down!
Turn that frown upside down with flowers. :-)

Do not fear, once Spring is over, we are still not giving up on our petals.
Even a gloomy day in Fall, can only make the florals stand out more.

Going back to one of our first posts about lace, florals and lace are the ultimate combo.

Facebook is spot-on with this Floral Accent Wall. What a cool interior office space!

This pretty- in- pink floral head board decorates the bedroom so softly.
Meanwhile I see this necklace, with its elegantly placed white flowers, screaming all over Vegas, "I am a fashionista and I am  a bachelorette!", or "I am wearing the most fashionable lei at this Hawaiian party!"

Florals always scream these adjectives: Feminine  Pretty, Romantic, Gentle, Fun, Flirty and ofcourse SPRING.

Hope we have gotten you florally inspired...
Cheers from Malgosia Migdal Interior Design !

FASHION MEETS INTERIORS:

What a Good Friday for some Easter Pastels!

Pastels look great in geometrical shapes.
Christian Dior fanned pastels over one arm of this beautiful dress (left), while this accent wall plays tricks with your eyes(right).

Pastels are a now a seasonal April favorite. Maybe because whether you are wearing a tailored, preppy, girlie, or androgynous pastel , you still look so calm and fabulous.

Paint your face with pastels, or your house!
(Christian Dior's 2014 "Trianon" Make-up collection to the left)

This is a great example of creating an organized and clean pastel office space, and I have to say that
silver Mac lap top works perfectly with the whole look.(left)
Meanwhile this vintage baby to the right is just too-hot-to-trot:

"John Pena’s 1966 International is a perfect example of a modern and vintage mash-up. With an exterior kept classic with vintage pastel aqua and white scallops down the side, it’s slammed stance and LS engine under the hood have turned it modern. A wooden barrel hides the rear axle and there are plenty of other details that make this truck work. It’s far from being simply slammed together."

Brighten up the pastel look by adding some brights: Susan Nelson added some bright accent pillows and vases in the living room of the Washington Design Center Showcase(to the left), while
Burbery Prorsum showcased pastels with vibrant sandals at Spring 2014 London Fashion Week (to the right).

I am dying over George Hobeika's Spring/Summer 2014 couture collection.
These designs are so breath-taking and spirit-lifting!

Painting the head board in pastel can help you sleep at night,  but please do not go painting your horse. :-)

And some personal candids from my very own Good Friday in  Pastel. :-)

Happy Easter from Malgosia Design!

FASHION MEETS INTERIORS!
#MalgosiaDesign Team has been extremely  inspired by the trends seen this year @Milan Design Week of 2014
"How a Melting Pot of Interior and Exterior Design can set the tone for major sales!"

As we walked through Milan Design week 2014, we fell in love with Charlotte Perriand's designs for Luis Vuitton Îcones Collection. See his inspiration below :

Charlotte Perriand displays the perfect link between combining the design of a store front, with the intention to sell both this chase-longue and the clothing. We love it!!!  The specific placement of the metal beams spotlight your eyes directly to all that is for sale.

Here is another spectacular example of a Charlotte Perriand display we have seen in Milan @ Design week 2014.
We do not know where to look first: The eskimo inspired coat, the leather handbag, or magnificent modern chair...

De Beers has always had a niche for creating the perfect retail environment by combining the  experience and aesthetic of what it sells: DIAMONDS of course!
Inspired by the sparkle of the beautiful De Beer diamond, the concept of this store in Tokyo, Japan is to create a sparkling effect throughout finished off with a starry diamond ceiling.
Magnificent!

Look a the interior design of this Omonia Bakery in New York by Bluarch architecture.
It is impossible to miss the purpose of this brick and mortars. What Omonia Bakery is known for is its delicious Greek pastries, but now we just might remember them more for this amazing ceiling of pastries!

Loop Creative pop- up studio in Sydney, Australia by Brand X created this fun and play-ground like energy by salvaging shipping palettes.

This fun store below, with its design inspired by its store name Back Street located  in Pakistan, relives the fun and momentum of the streets.
Wheels hanging from the ceiling highlight the stores new arrivals, PVC pipes are shaped into trees, and floors inspired as pavers used on all outdoor products really reflect the fun and energy of the clothing it carries.
Stay tuned for so much more entries inspired by our daily experience at Milan Design Week 2014!!

SPANISH STYLE HOMES

The Spanish style revived the architectural traditions of the early Spanish colonies, themselves based on the fanciful Moorish and Mediterranean motifs that influenced residences in the old country.

Spirited and expressive, Spanish revival house plans are all about making family, friends, and entertaining comfortable and relaxed.
Here are some of our favorite interiors with a modern twist

 Old meets new living area

The round arches in the long hallway make the space ever so more dramatic

 Perfect reading nook

Wood ceiling, arch doorways and rug on tile floors??? Yes please

Love the mosaic floors

 Open and airy dining area

This focal wall in the master shower is a perfect contrast to the white marble side walls

Each riser has its own unique tile design

Who wouldn’t want to cook in this mysterious kitchen?
